"Omana Thingal Kidavu"

Many a times we would have heard this song .., ha .., but this time i had a zeal to byheart the lyrics !!

This is a malayalam lullaby, sung for the great Music lover and king 'Swathi Thirunal" when he was born. He was born after a long yearning. It is in Neelambari Ragam. The song is recently sung by Bombay Jayashree in " Vatsalyam"

The lyric of this song is so beautiful that it is a lullaby not only for the king, but for the entire human generation. In this song, using appropriate phrases in sweet and chaste malayALam, the baby (king) is compared to the most beautiful things in the world that one can describe. It is to be noted that there is no mention of the word "sleep" anywhere in this lullaby. There is hardly any home in Kerala, where the newborn baby is not put to sleep by the soothing melody of the ever-popular lullaby, !!

The Butterflies too are busy … ( 9th June ’07 )

The next day I woke up early, steped on my skating pad and rushed to the same park, I saw a rabble of butterflies; I couldn’t identify the one I disturbed yesterday. I really felt sorry for my mistake.

Searching for nectar, it fastly swift from one flower to another. A heavy wind blew them a long distance…, I ran behind them .., I said hi …,

Wonderful it was when all of them fluttered near by me. I really had a lot of love for them, played with them for a long time.

This continued for days together, but as time passed by, all of them got busy …, I quietly went near by one of them, whispered .., hey will you come and play with me .., but it said .., “ sorry dear .., I need to collect nectar” .

I asked another and one by one .., but to my dismay, all of them seemed busy collecting nectar and laying eggs.

I sat desperately on the grass. Then I thought I have a lot of home work that my teacher had given, and its not right to spend all the time with butterflies, playing and spending time with them. I need to work hard & concentrate to complete them in time.

Our daily life is like going behind butterflies, relaxing the day long, and we deviate from our efforts in achieving our dreams.

Its better to relax for a while, but its not good to while away for relaxing all the time !!.

I remember one of my teachers words too “You need to make hay while the sun shines,
And then your life will be colourful like the butterflies” !!

A colourful life… ( 8th June'07)

After a quite drizzling the whole night, I was awaken by the bright rays of sun. From my bed I peeped through the window, I saw the dew covered meadow, and trees all bowing down due to the weight of water on its leaves. The parrots and kukkoo chirping. The bees made a buzzing lullaby.

Jus rolling from my cozy bed reaching to put off the alarm. Said good morning to the squirrel peeping at the window. Greasing my unkempt hair, skate to the nearby park with a foot ball.

Said hi to my friends there, and toss a game. Relishing a hard victory wiping the sweat about to drop on my eyes, I jus slant and I sat on the green bushy grass.

A lot of butterflies fluttered around the beautiful flowers. I was amassed seeing the varied colours it had ,.., each one was unique by its structure and brilliant colours. One of them flapped and sat on my shoulder .., I felt heaven. !!, Then two other butterflies followed.

But I felt selfish, I wanted to catch them. I tried my hand, but only its colour stuck on my fingers. All the butterflies flew away.

I felt I have disturbed that small insect. I should not have meddled with its freedom.

Every creature has its own freedom and purpose of life. If you have the nectar(sweetness) in you, the butterflies will come to you, and the life is similar. Only till we live a unselfish true life, our friends will be with us.

This world is a beautiful place to live. Lets maintain its serenity and peace. Lets live a true life, helping others and sharing a blissful love.

Life is interesting !!

Our life has taught us many things …, and the most important is the Persistence !!

“vida muiarchi ” .

Many obstacles may come across our way, but all these are to make us more strong to face the problems with courage.

Nothing in this world is unachievable, only thing is.., we need to determinately work for achieving that.

A classical quote from thirukkural:
“Idumbai ku idumbai paduppar
Idumbai ku idumbai padathar ”

Means: For those who do not fear at sorrow, its is like making sorrow itself fall into sorrow.

There is a lot to achieve in life, let us not worry for the problems, because today’s problems may seem tomorrows blossoms.

" Heaven Here " There is a story about a simple personality who lived in a village ...... He used to help all poor people by guiding them, giving them some work, and fund them while acute necessity.

Once God seeing his kindheartedness and great helping tendency, approached and told him...."you are a very nice person, shall we take you to heaven, we will give you all facilities and comfort there and you can live a very happy life there...." .

Then replied the man " I find heaven here, while helping the poor, while helping the needy...., while doing my sincere work, while helping my family, my nation and so on ......, I shall come while i complete all the work that i have been born for ......." , the god was very pleased on seing such a great personality and his thought of helping others, and happily returned ....

All of us can find Heaven here itself by helping the needy, and doing our sincere work..., rather than doing all the injustice and going to Kasi to wash away all our sins at the old age to attain heaven.....

Dhirajlal Hirachand Ambani (28 December 1932, - 6 July 2002), better known as Dhirubhai Ambani (Gujarati: ધીરૂભાઈ અંબાણી), was an Indian business tycoon and founder of Reliance Industries Limited.

'Dhirajlal Hirachand Ambani' was born on 28 December 1932, at Chorwad, Junagadh in the state of Gujarat, India. He worked as a dispatch clerk with A. Besse & Co. Two years later A. Besse & Co. became the distributors for Shell products and Dhirubhai was promoted to manage the company’s oil-filling station at the port of Aden.

He was married to Kokilaben and had two sons, Mukesh Ambani and Anil Ambani. He also worked in Dubai for some time during his early years.[1]

In the 1950s, the Yemini administration realized that their main unit of currency,the Rial, was disappearing fast. Upon launching an investigation, they realized that a lot of Rials were being routed to the Port City of Aden. It was found that a young man in his twenties was placing unlimited buy orders for Yemini Rials.

During those days, the Yemeni Rial was made of pure silver coins and was in much demand at the London Bullion Exchange. Young Dhirubhai bought the Rials, melted them into pure silver and sold it to the bullion traders in London . During the latter part of his life, while talking to reporters, it is believed that he said “The margins were small but it was money for jam. After three months, it was stopped. But I made a few lakhs. In short, I was a manipulator. A very good manipulator. But I don’t believe in not taking opportunities..” [2]
